First example:
Say you haven't spoken to your mom in years, and she's dead, but you didn't know. Wouldn't you WANT to? Ergo, ignorance is hardly bliss.
And how is one to make an informed decision if they don't know crap about their topic? You can't. That's how. I'm not saying I want to know everything, not at all, but I want to know what I can so that I can understand the world around me as much as I need to. Ignorance isn't bliss, it's a false sense of bliss. It's a half-life, in my eyes. I think I'd be depressed if I thought ignorance is bliss, because ignorance is frankly the root of all evil.
How do people describe biggoted, prejudiced people? Ignorant. And that's what they are. And they're hardly blissed out, am I right?
That question was rhetorical, by the way. I KNOW I'm right.
So, in closing, ignorance is evil, not bliss.
Much love,
Morgan
